About KURA
KURA (Khalifa University Robotics Athletes) is a cutting-edge robotics team at Khalifa University dedicated to advancing the field of humanoid robotic football. We combine engineering excellence with competitive spirit to create robots that don't just move—they play, strategize, and win.
Our focus is on humanoid robots competing in football matches with formats including 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. These competitions demand more than just technical prowess—they require strategic thinking, tactical execution, and seamless team coordination between autonomous robots.

Four Specialized Teams
KURA is structured into four specialized teams, each focusing on a critical aspect of robotic football. Together, we create champions.
Locomotion
Mastering movement, walking, balance, and stability. We develop advanced gait generation algorithms and control systems that enable our robots to move fluidly and maintain stability during intense gameplay.

Strategy
Crafting winning game plans and tactical execution. Our strategy team develops match tactics, team formations, and high-level coordination systems that give our robots a competitive edge.

Powering intelligent decision-making and autonomous behavior. We develop cutting-edge vision systems, behavior planning algorithms, and real-time decision-making capabilities for our robotic athletes.
